Maybe you have had a feeling that something was about to occur and it did just that. It comes as a surprise to us when a hunch turns out to be true.

Intuition is basically a strong impression without fact or logic to back it up. There are three varieties of these impressions: Clairvoyance, sensing clearly and clairaudience.

Clairvoyance, or what we call 'the third eye', is seeing beyond what is there. You can 'see' that something is happening or about to happen even though you can't actually see it.

What we often refer to as 'a gut feeling' is sensing clearly. A gut feeling is when you just 'know' something even though you can't explain why. It is often an overwhelming feeling that can't be shaken.

Studies are being conducted that could prove that anyone who wants to can work and develop a degree of intuition.

4. Let Go! - Consider what this can mean. If you need to make a big decision, let go of all the baggage that is holding you back and find that place of quiet within yourself first. Let your inner voice guide you as you let go.

5. Eliminate expectations - Don't expect to get the perfect answer, at least not right away. It can take time as your inhibitions are released. A hunch may not be immediately forthcoming so give it the time needed. When it comes, you may be amazed by the answer you get.

6. Trust your initial impressions - Initial impressions are often right on the mark. If something seems to good to be true, it usually is. This is a clear example of intuition.

7. Be Happy! - This as much as anything else will help your intuition. The Science of Getting Rich is influenced by happiness as well as just about everything else. Using intuition to be happy and content will, in turn strengthen intuition. It is a good cycle to keep going.

You can achieve a good deal with intuition if used wisely. It can and has saved many lives. It has also helped make the decision process easier. By developing a strong intuition, you can benefit greater than you would have believed possible.

What are subliminal messages? A subliminal message is a message displayed for such a short period of time that your mind does not consciously register what it sees or hears. Controversy and ethics

There has been much controversy about using unconscious messages without willing or aware subjects. This is not a strange thing, because for years hidden persuasive messages have been used, to manipulate viewers or listeners to behave in ways they otherwise would not using imperceptible or masked stimuli. There have been two particular areas where the ethics of this practice have been questioned

• In commercials and advertising
• By fundamentalists and rock music

Theres no doubt of the insidious character of subliminal persuasion. There has been much criticism regarding the unscrupulous, unconscious persuasive methods many large corporations have used in their cravings for increased profits.

Another ethical inquiry has been targeted towards religious and political fundamentalists who have promulgated their belief of occult, satanic communications in rock music.

The self help market

The most useful application of hidden persuasive messages according to my opinion is the self help or self improvement market. This $50-millions a year industry is still expanding at a high rate. Subliminal self-help tapes, CDs and mp3s have been used by thousands of people all over the world and there are also numerous testimonials available showing their effectiveness in personal improvement. There are many reasons why the Birds are 5-6, having lost four out of their last five games and are 11-16 over the last two seasons, a ship struggling to stay afloat in rocky waters.

Bad play-calling. Lack of effort. Stupid penalties. Dumb gameplans. Injuries. Poor execution.

And while those are all viable, and obvious, reasons for the Eagles fall from the NFL elite, they are but mere symptoms of a much larger problem afflicting this organization.

Horrendous drafts that have left them extremely short on quality NFL talent.

And all that falls on the feet of one man the Big Enchilada the Mormon Mound of Rebound the Nova Care Complex Alpha Dog

Head Coach and President of Player Personnel Andy Reid.

While Tom Heckert officially holds the title of General Manager, everyone knows that he does not have final say on any player personnel moves made by the Birds. Every player on this roster has been brought to the Eagles nest at the behest of one man Big Red.

And because Reid usually eschews free agency when it comes to bringing star-quality players into the fold (Terrell Owens, Jevon Kearse, and Darren Howard notwithstanding), the draft becomes a much more vital function of this teams success.

Dont get me wrong, building through the draft is the prudent way to build a successful NFL franchise. Weve all seen how unsuccessful the Redskins way of building a team is. Constructing a squad from the ground-up, through the draft, is the best way to ensure continuity and chemistry for years to come.

When its done right. Unfortunately for the Eagles, they havent been doing it right for quite a little while now.

Offensively, the big guy has done OK. His most brilliant selection was obviously taking McNabb in 99, followed by the third-round steal of RB Brian Westbrook in 2002. More recently, TE L.J. Smith (2003, Rd. 2) OL Shawn Andrews (2004, Rd. 1) and WR Reggie Brown (2005, Rd. 2) all appear to be fine selections.

Less successful have been Reids selections on defense. While he did pluck some outstanding defensive players in the 2002 Draft, selecting CBs Lito Sheppard (1st round) and Sheldon Brown (2nd round) and former Pro-Bowl safety Michael Lewis (2nd round), the rest of his defensive selections have been abysmal.

No one said that predicting a college players ability to turn into a quality NFL player was easy to do. Its a monumentally difficult challenge. However, for a man who believes that you build a winner through the draft, its pretty easy to see why the Eagles have been struggling so much over the last 15 months.

Below are the results of Reids drafts with my grade for each pick in paranthesis starting with 2003

2003:

Rd1. DE Jerome McDougle - Without question the biggest bust of the Andy Reid era. The Eagles moved up 15 spots to land him with the 15th pick with almost nothing to show for it. (F)

Rd2. TE L.J. Smith - A Pro-Bowl caliber pass-catching tight end. Cant block to save his life, but can catch the rock and appears to be coming into his own. (B)

Rd3. WR Billy McMullen - A third-round pick on a guy who was never more than a #4 receiver with the Eagles. (F)

Rd4. DE Jamaal Green - McDougles teammate on the Hurricanes, never a contributor for the Birds. (F)

Rd6 & 7. OL Jeremy Bridges & S Norman Lejeune - Nobodies. (F)

Only one decent player in the entire draft.

2004:

Rd1. OL Shawn Andrews - Moved up 12 spots to grab him, a questionable draft pick at the time, but is looking to be like a brilliant selection for Reid. The kid will be a force on the offensive line for years to come. (A)

Rd3. CB Matt Ware - Never more than the Birds fourth-best cornerback, now toiling on the Arizona Cardinals. (D)

Rd4. S J.R. Reed - Would have been a great pick if he hadnt ruined his career with a leg injury jumping over a chain-link fence. Had a long career as a kick returner ahead of him. Cant blame Reid for this one. (C)

Rd4. OL Tony Darilek - If youve ever heard of this guy before, youre a more informed man than I am. (F)

Rd5. RB Thomas Tapeh - Somehow this guy is our starting fullback. He cant run the ball, has no speed, and is a mediocre run blocker. But not terrible value for a 5th-rounder. (C)

Rd6. QB Andy Hall - A project from the start. Project aborted. (D)

Rd6. CB Dexter Wynn - The Birds number-four cornerback, recently demoted from his kick return duties. A decent cover guy, also not bad value in the 6th round. (C)

Rd7. OG Adrien Clarke, RB Bruce Perry, C Dominic Furio (D-)

Again, only one really productive NFL player in this draft.

2005:

Rd1. DT Mike Patterson - Recently signed to a ridiculous seven-year contract extension that makes him an Eagle through 2016, the second-year starter has just 1 1/2 sacks for the Birds in 06 and only 25 tackles through 11 games. Its not too much to ask for a little impact from last years first-round pick. (C-)

Rd2. WR Reggie Brown - Has been a pretty decent wide receiver for the Eagles in his second year and should only get better. He has struggled to hold onto the ball and isnt a playmaker, but he has shown to be a decent second-round selection. (B)

Rd2. LB Matt McCoy - Perhaps the prime example of why the Eagles are losing. This was a second-round pick??? Watching him get railroaded by Dallas Clark on Sunday night made me want to cut him right then and there. He stinks. (D)

Rd3. RB Ryan Moats - A waste of a draft pick. Why take a smallish running back when you already had Wesbrook? Wouldnt a smarter move have been to draft a bigger back to complement B-West? Moats hasnt seen the field in 06 and doesnt look likely to see it anytime soon. (D+)

Rd4. S Sean Considine - Heres another guy who has been getting thrown around the field like a rag doll lately, although thats mainly because the linebackers have been so brutal. He seems like he could turn into a decent playmaker with time. Not a bad pick and the jurys still out on him. (C+)

Rd4. OL Todd Herremans - A starting offensive lineman on one of the strongest offensive lines in football. A solid selection. (B+)

Rd5. DE Trent Cole - While he started out fast, he has slowed considerably since being made the starter. Still not sure whether hes going to turn into a stud defensive end, but hes shown enough promise to make you optimistic. Definitely good value here in round five. (C+)

Rd5. OL Scott Young - Never heard of him. (Incomplete)

Rd6. OL Calvin Armstrong - Why another offensive lineman here? (Incomplete)

Rd7. DT Keyonta Marshall & LB David Bergeron - Practice squad players. (Incomplete)

Six current starters are from this draft. The problem, only one (Herremans) looks like a future Pro-Bowler, and only two others, (Brown & Cole) look like long-term solutions at their positions.

2006:

Rd1. DT Broderick Bunkley - Its a sin that the 14th pick in the draft be so invisible. I know its his rookie season, but I think we deserve to expect more from a first-round pick, especially at a position like defensive tackle. A massive underachiever so far, but still far too soon to say hes been a bust. But hes well on his way. (C)

Rd2. OL Winston Justice - Again, the offensive line is stacked and for now, hes right where he should be. As a back-up. (Incomplete)

Rd3. LB Chris Gocong - At a position of sever weakness, Gocong would have had an opportunity to show his stuff, but a neck injury ended his 06 season prematurely. (Incomplete)

Rd4. OL Max Jean-Gilles - Like Justice, waiting for his turn to fill in for an injured offensive lineman. (Incomplete)

Rd4. WR Jason Avant - While he has gotten a little playing time this year, the Andy Reid offensive scheme is too complicated for a rookie wide receiver to understand. (Incomplete)

Rd5. WR/KR Jeremy Bloom - You never like to hear about a speed guy with hamstring problems. On IR. (Incomplete)

Rd5. LB Omar Gaither - Perhaps best known as being the 12th man on the field in the final minutes of the New Orleans game, a penalty that cost the Birds one final shot at beating the Saints. Paying his dues on special teams now. (Incomplete)

Rd6. DT Lajuan Ramsey (Incomplete)

Not a single solitary player that is having an impact in 06. Simply inexcusable.

And lets not forget two major defensive draft busts that Reid was a party to before 2003 LB Barry Gardner (99, Rd.2), LB Quinton Caver (01, Rd.2), and the one solid selection, 2005 sack leader DE Derrick Burgess (01, Rd.3) who the Eagles let go the instant he became healthy and dominant. You dont think hed be a major help to a struggling Birds D-Line now?

Building a team through the draft is the smart way to go. But Reids refusal to acquire free agents at key positions of need, mainly defensive tackle and outside linebacker, and his reliance on unproven first and second-year players is a huge gamble that has not paid off over the last year and a half.

And why has Reid constructed an offensive and defensive system that is so complicated to understand that it is virtually impossible for a current-year draft pick to be productive? What kind of sense does that make?

The Eagles depth is atrocious. The Birds back-ups, mostly draft picks from past Reid drafts, have not done the job. And the high-round draft picks that are seeing significant playing time have underperformed.

The Eagles need someone who is an expert college talent evaluator. Someone who has a track record of compiling excellent drafts. Someone who does not have to worry about running a team at the same time.

Its time for Andy Reid to turn over the GM reigns to someone who is, frankly, better at it.

RC (radio controlled) cars, especially the nitro or gas powered RC cars, are becoming increasingly popular. With speeds up to 70 mph, realistic looks, and racing clubs in virtually every large city, it's easy to see why.

If you want to join this exciting hobby, there're a few things you should consider before you buy your first nitro-powered RC car. The basic considerations are: size, type, 2 or 4-stroke motor, maintenance, 2 or 4 wheel drive, and ready-to-run (rtr) or kit cars.

Sizes

The two most popular sizes to choose from are 1/8 and 1/10 scale. 1/10th scale is the industry standard for on-road racers, while 1/8th is more popular for off-road trucks and buggies. The larger 1/8th scale on road car comes standard with a 2 or 3 speed automatic transmission.

Types

The touring and racing cars are are the popular choice for on-road use. For best performance, they should be run on a smooth surface.

Trucks and buggies are the choice if off-road action is what you want. Though not as fast as the touring and racing styles, they are still very impressive and extremely rugged as well. And since a smooth surface is not required, they also have the advantage of being able to run just about anywhere.

Motors

Nitro powered RC motors come available in the popular 2-stroke or the less conventional 4- stroke versions. The primary difference is that the 2-stroke motor, much like a weed eater or chain saw, requires a fuel oil mixture. The 4-stroke motor has an oil reservoir and can run on straight fuel. The 2 stroke engine has the advantage of producing higher rpm's (revs up faster) and is more suitable for racing. The 4 stroke engine has more power and torque and is better for offroad use.

The most popular 2-stroke motor is the 23cc (cubic centimeter) displacement engine. It's popularity is due to the amazing 2.5 HP of output it produces. The resulting high speeds and acceleration are what RC racers love.

Additionally, motors come with or without a pull start. The ones without a pull start are cheaper, but you'll also need a starter box.

Maintenance for Nitro Powered RC Cars

Maintenance is a definite requirement of running a nitro powered vehicle. Most hobbyist love tweaking and tuning their vehicles. In addition, you'll need to maintain certain parts such as:

Clutch
Differential
Air Filter
Header and
Pull start cord

2 or 4 Wheel Drive

If you're new to the hobby, you'll find a 2wd car less expensive and easier to work on. The 4wd car has the advantage of better traction and handling in turns which makes it a better choice when you're ready to race.

Kits or Ready to Run (RTR) Rc Cars

Nitro powered rc cars come in kits or ready-to-run right from the box. The primary difference is the whether you want to save time with a RTR car or save money with a kit. However, because of the assembly process, kits better prepare you for required maintenance.

If you choose to build an rc car, don't expect to finish in one sitting. To avoid mistakes, familiarize yourself with the instructions first and get your work area prepared. Some of the things you'll need are:

Small No. 1 and 2 Phillips and flathead screwdrivers
Soap - as a dry lubricant for tight parts
Extra fuel line - to hold screws while positioning
Needle nose and regular slip joint pliers
Flush cutter
Hobby knife with no. 11 blades

When you assemble the car, make sure to work in a well-lit, uncluttered area. You should keep the parts and tools separated using tin boxes, trays, or even an old fishing tackle box.

These are a few of the basics you'll need to know before you buy your first nitro rc car or truck. You should expect to pay around $400 for a complete beginner setup. The price will vary a little depending on whether you choose a kit or RTR and how many tools you need.

Whether you race or just practice by yourself, get ready for a lot of fun!

Where do you find men that appreciate a physically strong woman? Do they exist? After answering many forum questions and reading other inspirational speaking messages, I have to tell you that real men respect strong women. It seems everywhere in this society women are coerced into being "thin" and weak in order to attract men of low self esteem. As a result they get osteoporosis when are 60 and never live the lives they want because they are passive pushovers as a result of trying to be loved by these so called men. It makes me sick! I'm so tired of this.

I realize this will probably be an awkward question for me to be asking you, but think of it as a motivational question. "Do you let the influence of others keep you from being what you aspire to be?"

You must ask yourself this question in order to progress faster with your life and your exercise program because once you face this issue you won't be conflicted about becoming stronger as a woman. It is really inspirational and comforting to know that men are capable of loving and appreciating strong women and that you can find a mate who loves you for being the strong person that you are, even if that means not following the mainstream standards of "weak" women.

It's no secret that there are a lot of weak and insecure men out there. One only has to look at the many forms of physical and mental abuse that are a result of fragile male egos for proof.

Women owe it to themselves, their families and society to be healthy, fit and strong. Because only a women in a such a state can carry the burdens that come with being a wife, mom and income earner all at the same time. Despite all the progress in womens rights, this is one of the hardest times in my opinion for a women to keep it together mentally.

Often when a women starts to train, their male partner can feel several emotions that would lead to him wanting to sabotage her results. The sabotage can take many forms from verbal whispers of disapproval to a "me or the gym" ultimatum. Given the choice of a positive activity that will lead to a full an abundant life or an overbearing and insecure man that wants only a subordinate partner does not seem like too tuff of a choice.

The bottom line though is that only weak men are afraid of strong women. The man may feel a fear of loss. Now that his mate is going to look great and is getting her life and health in order, maybe she may find someone better. If she stays fat or overweight, his odds of her staying are greater. Its petty thinking but it does happen.

Occasionally, the late nights or early mornings at the gym bring thoughts of infidelity to an insecure mind. Why does she get up so early? What's so important at the gym that she is willing to go there even though she is tired? The simplest mental garbage is that now, she is going to look better than him. He is going to be the 4 and her the 8 in the relationship. That means he's the one that is "lucky" to be with her! Oh, my gosh!

What about the horrible fact that his girlfriend or wife could possibly kick his butt? That would mean that now he would have to trust in her love and respect for the relationship to work and not his alpha dog reign of power. My how the tides have turned.

The bottom line is that if you are in a relationship where your partner has a problem with you becoming more healthy, vibrant and full of strength and character, you are in the wrong relationship. Relationships are forged from mutual support for the betterment of each person involved. Never let someone else's lack of ambition and need of superiority keep your from becoming the butterfly that you were meant to be.

My university, here in Huainan, that has looked so deserted for the past few weeks has started showing some signs of life. Thankfully, most women don't cower in the face of domestic violence anymore. Instead, they are more than willing to desert their violent husbands/mates. Unfortunately, in parts of Asia, women still allow that and don't raise a hand against their partners, nor their voice against the 'practice'. I wonder when this violence will end, when men will return their women the dignity they not only deserve but have earned over centuries. I believe, it's men with a huge sense of inferiority that do this, not men who are real men.
